Well, this is embarrassing. Even though I am constantly wary of phishing emails, I nearly got hooked. “Apple” sent me an email saying that someone changed my password yesterday. A link to reset my password was provided and I actually clicked on it. I know, I know…what was I thinking!?? Luckily, the browser Firefox, warned me that the website was not to be trusted. THANK YOU Firefox!
In my defense, the reason I was so easily reeled in is attributable to my kids. They are constantly playing with my iPhone, downloading songs and apps from iTunes. My first thought was one of them somehow got my password and changed it. So, my kids’ influence is the weak link in my normally air tight security practice. Where is your weak link?
What should I have done first, rather than click on the alluring link? I should have Logged in to iTunes to test the password. Have you had any close calls? Please share for the benefit of the rest of us.
